Other Technologies for Supporting Digital Annotation?

While this tool supports highly accessible, student-created or faculty-created annotation of PDFs, there are other tools you may want to consider for other collaborative annotation processes. These include Perusall (for faculty-created collaborative annotations of PDFs or textbooks) as well as most Google Tools which are especially helpful for texts co-constructed by students (e.g. Docs, Slides, Drawings, Sheets).
