Pima's college-wide emails utilize Gmail which directly integrates with D2L Brightspace.  

Gmail Meets D2L at Pim: FAQs

• Will students see my announcements or other D2L notifications through their Pima student gmail? By default, students should be able to receive emails posted to the D2L Announcements through their Pima student Gmail addresses and also through the D2l Pulse App. Please note that you may need to remind your students to update their D2L Notifications settings to ensure they are able to view what they aim to see within this or other emails. 

• How do I change my listed name (or guide my students to resources for that)? If faculty or students need to change their name settings for both Gmail, myPima, Attendance Rosters, and D2L follow the steps at Use of Chosen Name and Personal Pronouns.

• When I share a Google file as an instructor with "Pima Community College," is this visible to all Pima students as well?  No.  This setting provides accessibility to other Pima staff and faculty.  To share an item with your students, instead choose the "Add people, groups and calendar events" option.
