System Widgets

System widgets are widgets developed by D2L Brightspace which cannot be edited by anyone at PCC. They can be added to your course homepage if you have access to edit it. Refer to the "Make Your Course Homepage Editable" webpage for instructions on how to edit your homepage, if needed. 

Please read each system widget description below to understand how they can be used for your course. Some are viewed by instructors only and others are viewed by students only. These will not be visible on the course homepage to the user that cannot view them.

PCC QuickLinks Widget

PCC Quicklinks gives students access to: D2l Support, PCC Tutoring, NetTutor, Advice & Counseling, Research & Library Help, Career Services, Tech Support, Testing Center, Student Life, Google Drive, Student Email, Register for Classes

*Student access only. Students are able to access their Gmail and Google Drive from within the course. Students will need to complete the setup process once before they can access it.

Provides a central location for students and instructors to post messages that are visible to the entire class.

Please read each custom widget description below to understand how they can be used for your course and if these resources are already available in the PCC Quicklinks widget that is on the default homepage. 

Using Individual Resource Widgets to Emphasize Course Values

If you want to emphasize a specific service or resource that is already within the PCC Quicklinks, we have widgets that can support this option. Review the individual resource widget options below to see which ones you may want to add to your course. For example, a course that has a writing emphasis may want to add a specific library widget. Most of these individual resources are available within the PCC Quicklinks widget as well. Some are viewed by instructors only.
