Ally is a tool that allows students to select Accessible format options for course materials in D2L. Such alternative format downloads include text-to-speech audio files, Immersive Reader, Braille, and ePub. Ally also provides Accessibility checking of course materials for instructors, and guides the instructor with easy-to-follow improvements. Instructors can view course reports to find which documents pose the highest Accessibility risks.
All faculty can quickly review your own D2L Brightspace courses to see if they are accessible. To do so, simply create an "Ally Course Report" within class you teach, by clicking "Tools" within Pima's D2L navbar and selecting "Ally Course Report."
